Janella Combs began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Joel Bolger with the Superior Court of Kodiak. Since opening her own practice, first in Dillingham, then expanding to Kodiak and Anchorage, she has represented clients in most rural communities of western Alaska. She focuses on family and commercial law, but also has extensive experience with criminal appellate practice. Ms. Combs maintains a busy trial schedule handling family and criminal cases in district and superior courts throughout Alaska. She attended Texas Christian University (B.S) , Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs, (M.P.A.), and Indiana University Maurer School of Law (J.D).Janella Combs and her husband T.C. Kamai live with their four children in Kodiak, Alaska, where she spends her spare time riding killer whales and wrestling grizzly bears. She also enjoys quilting when it is raining, and pursuing her writing interests in international government and policy.
